Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common mental disorders affecting children. Symptoms of ADHD include inattention (not being able to keep focus), hyperactivity (excess movement that is not fitting to the setting) and impulsivity (hasty acts that occur in the moment without thought).

In children ages 4-17 years old, neurological and learning disorders have risen.  Children with ADHD continue to have symptoms into adulthood.  At least 12 million US adults have ADHD according to epidemiological data. In addition to vaccinations; head trauma, birth trauma, infectious diseases, severe burns, accidents and falls may be the cause of ADHD.

There are cases that appear in review journals that show the effectiveness of chiropractic care with improving brain function.  Studies have suggested a positive effect from chiropractic care.  For example, a reform school in Kentucky had given chiropractic care to 244 children.  The results were so astounding that the teachers wrote a letter to the state’s governor asking for full time chiropractic care at the school.  The students had improved health, schoolwork and behavior.
